Stormy Day glass landscape

This piece is double sided and the texture appears different on each side.

A one-off fused glass landscape.

Based on my photos and inspired by the Lincolnshire landscape's patterns and colours.

Created from many colours of gritted or powdered glass, enamels, and sometimes wire elements.

Fired up to 900'C in my kiln between 2 and 4 times building up texture and colours in layers.

Sometimes the planning of the works takes 2 hours alone.

I try and maintain a degree of translucency so that the glass can be illuminated by nearby light sources.

The glass measures approx 30cm and is supplied with wall fixings (Standoffs) that support the piece once drilled into a wall and secured using rawlplugs.
