A one-off fused glass landscape.
Based on my photos and inspired by the Lincolnshire landscape's patterns and colours.
Created from gritted or powdered glass and enamels and fired up to 900'C in my kiln between 2 and 4 times building up texture and colours in layers.
Sometimes the planning of the works takes 2 hours alone.
I try and maintain a degree of translucency so that the glass can be illuminated by nearby light sources.
The glass measures approx 20cm and sits in a wooden base (oak/sapele) supplied lightly oiled/beeswaxed.
I welcome commissions - if you have a favourite view or photograph I am willing to try and recreate this.
